Chairman’s Circle

The Chairman’s Circle is a unique group of leading Adelaide Festival supporters whose influence, vision and direct engagement has had an immediate and measurable impact on the Festival’s program each year.

As a collective, the Chairman’s Circle annual investment directly supports one prestigious international work in the Festival program. The sponsored work is exclusive to the Adelaide Festival, and is announced at a special function hosted by the Chair in the lead up to the launch of the program. Members receive premium seating and hospitality on the opening night of this exclusive production.

In 2018, the Chairman's Circle has been supporting the production of Hamlet. The sponsored work in 2017 was the landmark production of Barrie Kosky’s Saul, and in 2016 The James Plays.

The Chairman’s Circle enjoys a close relationship with the Chair and other members of the Board, as leading supporters and advocates for the Adelaide Festival within the community.

Members of the Chairman’s Circle make an annual investment of $10,000, of which $8,000 is a tax-deductible donation. All members are personally acknowledged in the Festival Guide and in the program for the sponsored event (unless anonymity is requested).

Chairman's Circle membership benefits include:

  • An exclusive lunch/dinner and confidential preview of the Festival program ahead of the official Launch
  • VIP hospitality at the Festival Program Launch
  • Christmas Reception with the Artistic Directors and Festival Management.
  • VIP hospitality at the Writers’ Week Launch
  • Tickets to the sponsored production with VIP hospitality hosted by the Chair and Artistic Directors.
  • Other ticketing and hospitality arranged through the Philanthropy Department.
  • VIP hospitality at the Opening and Closing Night party.
  • A post-Festival Reception with the Artistic Directors and Sponsors.
  • Membership of the Friends of the Festival.
Members of the Chairman’s Circle have access to other exclusive networking and engagement opportunities with artists and writers during the Festival.

Membership is by invitation from the Chair of the Adelaide Festival, Judy Potter, or the Chairman’s Circle Committee.

Members receive exclusive benefits valued at $2,000, clearly delineating the tax deductable component.

As Friends of the Festival, Chairman’s Circle members receive the 15% Friends’ discount on tickets when purchasing through BASS, and access to other Friends’ benefits including the Fast Fine Dines program.
